Endoscopy- vet diagnostic imaging
Video Endoscopy, or “scoping” is an excellent means of investigating diseases involving:
The Respiratory Tract- trachea using a flexible fiberoptic endoscope; nasal cavity using a rigid endoscope
The gastro-intestine- The Stomach & Bowel.
The ear- tympanic membrane (ear drum) and to facilite endoscopic removal of ear tumours & foreign objects.
The joints- special fine arthroscopes are used to image the joints- see section on arthroscopy

“Our reason for being here is to maintain the health of your pets & horses.”
Endoscopy provides a safe, non-invasive method for examining these difficult-to-see places without the need for surgery.

With the pet sedated or under a General Anaesthetic the fibre– optic endoscope is carefully passed allowing the vet to see into the respiratory or gastrointestinal tracts through a lens rather like a camera.

The practice has 2 flexible fiberoptic video endoscopes & 4 rigid endoscopes & arthroscopes of differing sizes to allow examinations of different regions
