vet diagnostic imaging- radiology x-ray
Our Radiology (X-ray) facilities aid our Veterinary Surgeons to visualise the internal organs and bones of our patients allowing us to quickly make the best treatment choices for your pet.
Radiographs are taken using special kodak skeletal or lanex screens or mammography film to provide the best detail. Digital xray images may be sent and received by email if necessary
Radiograph showing a stone
in the stomach of a dog, which was repeatedly vomiting. The stone was removed surgicallly from the gut at surgery allowing this dog to fully recover.

This dog had suffered trauma to its chest and was having severe difficulty breathing. A quick x-ray was able to show us that both of its lungs had collapsed due to a condition called Pneumothorax. A chest drain was inserted and the dog recovered rapidly.

A x-ray of this Labrador's hips shows severe hip dysplasia and thickening of the femur.

KODAK INSIGHT Skeletal Imaging Film
Used for orthopedic examinations, delivers high
resolution and high contrast for sharp bone detail, while retaining soft-tissue visualization.
KODAK INSIGHT Skeletal Imaging Film
KODAK INSIGHT skeletal imaging film offers a choice of two KODAK INSIGHT skeletal screens. Part of the KODAK INSIGHT skeletal imaging system, this system is specially designed for superb medical imaging of bone and extremities. Zero-crossover film technology and reduced sensitivity to low-energy radiation scatter increase contrast and optimize image quality. At the same time, this premier imaging system helps control costs by reducing the need for repeat examinations through improved diagnostic information
